TRESCO is a Belgian company playing an important role in the ISLET project. With a huge experience in navigation technologies for inland shipping, TRESCO is committed to making waterborne transport safer and more efficient.
In ISLET, TRESCO’s expertise is key for the development of ISLET Receiver-S, particularly regarding the integration with inland ECDIS to be implemented in the solution. TRESCO solutions, developed in line with the relevant standards for inland navigation, applies the RIS directive. This inland ECDIS can interact with different vessel systems, such as the AIS transponder, RADAR and other onboard sensors, enabling comprehensive system integration. It is operated through TRESCO Navigis software, which supports and aligns communication with the outputs of the GMV OEM GNSS receiver.
TRESCO also contributes to the definition of user requirements, as well as to testing, verification and validation activities into inland navigation, and will participate in the final demonstration of the project.
